Who are we?

Welcome to DeminVa.

DeminVa started because we had the chance to launch a website, connect with a supplier, and test an idea in the jewellery industry. It’s an experiment, but one we’re running with honesty and simplicity at the core.

Our philosophy is simple. Jewellery should shine on its own. We don’t believe in selling you unnecessary boxes or packaging that usually ends up thrown away. Every piece you order from DeminVa comes in a practical EVA pouch — something you can reuse to store your jewellery day to day. If you want a presentation box, we’ll point you to affordable Shopee listings (we’re based in Singapore, so it’s easy for you to get them). You’ll know better than us what style fits your taste or occasion.

About pricing. Let’s be upfront. Yes, there are markups — because running any online store has costs that go beyond just the product. Here’s what it looks like for us:

Products: paid to the supplier before anything else.

Shopify: about US$39/month just to keep the site live.

Transaction fees: about 3.2% + 60¢ per order that goes straight to Shopify or the payment processor.

Other costs: domain registration, small admin tools, and if this grows, government fees and taxes.

We’re NOT drawing a salary from this — the goal is to cover costs, learn, and see where it goes.

Our vision is direct. If DeminVa takes off, that’s amazing — it shows there’s space for a no-nonsense jewellery brand. If it doesn’t, it’s still a worthwhile experience in trying to do things differently: focusing on the jewellery, not the fluff.
